Valentine’s Day
Irish people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day across the United States, Canada, Australia, and many other countries. Since it is not a government holiday the majority of businesses remain open as normal on the day. People are often involved in parades, wear green during the feast, and drink Irish beer.
Saint Patrick was a notable historical figure who introduced Christianity to Ireland. He was born in Britain at the close of the fourth century. Ireland was a mostly pagan nation at the time. As a teen the family of his father kidnap him and then transported to Ireland. After being held for many years before being released, he was finally freed and converted.
He is revered as the patron saint of engineers as well as the patron saint of Ireland and Nigeria. The Holy Trinity is symbolized by the Shamrock.
The Day of the Dentist

They continue to fight for equality in pay and access to contraception.
The national dialogue on women’s rights was sparked by discussions on sexual harassment and equal pay. Women have been more involved in America as well as elsewhere. There are issues regarding the rights of women in Russia.
