Action Calendar February 2023 – It is important to remember a few significant dates in March. This includes the Good Samaritan’s Day (March 15), National Dentist’s Day (March 16) and International Women’s Day (March 17). Additionally it is the month that daylight saving time is set to begin. This is why it’s a good idea to change your routine.
Day of the Good Samaritan
Every year, the 13th of March is declared “National Good Samaritan’s day”. It is a day to show compassion and sacrifice as well as to assist other people.
Someone who goes above and above to assist another person is known as a “good Samaritan.” The person could provide someone in need food, clothing, or other support. A good Samaritan has the heart of a person of God and the desire to help others.
The Bible contains The Good Samaritan’s Tale. The Bible describes a kind Samaritan that helped a traveler who was wounded by bandits.
The Gospel of Luke tells the tale of the Good Samaritan, which illustrates the many benefits of doing good deeds. Particularly, it describes how robbers attacked an innocent Jewish traveler. The good Samaritan offered to aid the man who was injured by providing medical treatment and care for his wounds.
Valentine’s Day
People of Irish heritage are celebrated during St. Patrick’s Day in the United States and Canada. Many companies will continue to function as normal because it isn’t a government holiday. A lot of people take part in parades and drink Irish beer.
Saint Patrick was a historical individual who brought Christianity to Ireland. He was born in Britain towards the end of the fourth century. Ireland was a predominantly pagan state in the time. He was abducted when he was a teenager and transported to Ireland. After being imprisoned for over a period of time before being released, he was finally freed and then converted.
He is known as the patron saints of Ireland and Nigeria, and as the martyr of engineers. The Holy Trinity is symbolized by the shamrock.
The Day of the Dentist
Every year, the date of National Dentist’s Day (March 6) is observed. Every year there is a day of celebration that is held to recognize dentists’ achievements.
Dental professionals can use this day to promote their expertise, give an opportunity to have a free screening, and raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy mouth. Take care of your teeth every day of the year. Regularly cleaning and inspecting your teeth can help you prevent discomfort in the near future.
An excellent way to celebrate National Dentist’s Day, is to express your gratitude to your dentist.
In addition to giving your dentist a big thank you, show your appreciation by following the dental hygiene regimen.You can keep your teeth clean and healthy by taking the time to brush and floss every day for 2 minutes each time.
International Day of Women
International Women’s Day (March 8th) is a time when women celebrate and promote their rights. Women are encouraged to speak up for equality. It is observed on March 8 and honors the achievements of women.
American institutions and businesses observe International Women’s Day. March is also National Women’s History Month.
Many countries have suffered discrimination from women for many years. However, the fight for equality of genders has been going on even further. Based on estimates from the World Economic Forum (WEF) that gender equality in the world could be achieved by 2133. Women are increasingly involved in politics as well as business.
Women have been more actively involved in the American and international dialogues about women’s rights, as a result of discussions concerning sexual harassment. However, there are also issues with women’s rights in Russia.
The time is EST (Early Start-Off Time).
Remember that daylight saving times differ dependent on the time and place you live. DST, for example, begins in the US the second Sunday in March. Then, it returns to normal time on the first Sunday of November.
The DST observer is spread across 47 states. The only exceptions are Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia are not affected. Furthermore, three of Australia’s biggest regions do not participate.
A little more sunlight in the evenings is believed to lessen the chance of accidents in traffic. This also helps workers to be more active. These benefits are particularly relevant in locations in remote areas farther from the equator.
It’s not a secret that many Americans are not in agreement with this idea. Many people wrongly believe that farmers support the movement.
