For a good example of the advantages from doing good works, the Good Samaritan story from the Gospel of Luke is a great example. In particular, it describes how robbers attacked an innocent Jewish traveler. The good Samaritan helped the injured man by paying for his medical expenses and providing wound care.
Valentine’s Day
On this day, people from Irish heritage celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the United States, Canada and other countries. Most businesses remain open during this holiday, like they do on all other days of the week. People are often involved in parades, wear green during the day, and enjoy Irish beer.
Saint Patrick is a historical figure who, brought Christianity into Ireland. He was born in Britain towards the end of the fourth century. Ireland was a predominantly pagan country in the period. He was only a teen when he was kidnapped and taken to Ireland. After being held for several years, he was freed and converted into the Catholic faith.
He is also often referred to as the patron saint of Ireland and Nigeria. The Holy Trinity is symbolized by the shamrock.
The Day of the Dentist
Every year, March 6th is National Dentist’s Day. Every year is a day that is dedicated to celebrating dentists and their achievements is created.
Dental professionals can use this day to highlight their expertise, give the opportunity for a free dental screening, and raise awareness about the importance of proper oral hygiene. You should take care your teeth every day of the year. You can prevent unpleasant problems by cleaning and checking your teeth.
To express your gratitude to your dentist’s efforts, one of the best ways to celebrate National Dentist’s Day (and to make it memorable) is to mail them a card or a present.
You can show your appreciation to your dentist by flossing and cleaning every day for 2 minutes each time.
International Day of Women
International Women’s Day on March 8th is a day when women are encouraged to spread awareness and recognize their rights. It also inspires women to speak out in favor of equality. It is celebrated every year on the 8th of March and celebrates the contribution made to equality by women.
American businesses and schools observe International Women’s Day. March also is National Women’s History Month.
While gender discrimination has been a long-running issue in a number of countries, the fight for equality between genders is more modern. According to the World Economic Forum gender equality can be achieved by 2133. Today, women are active in both business and politics. They continue to advocate for equality in pay and access to contraception.
The national dialogue about women’s issues has been sparked partly by discussions about gender-based harassment and equal pay. Women are becoming more involved in their communities and abroad. However, there are also issues with women’s rights in Russia.
EST (Early Set Off Time)
Be aware that daylight savings times will differ according to where you live. DST is the time that daylight savings time starts in the Americas. It begins on the 2nd Sunday of March. Normal time is restored on the Sunday following November 2.
There are 47 states that observe DST. Arizona, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are the exceptions. Three of Australia’s most populous regions do not also participate.
A little more sunlight during the evening hours is thought to reduce traffic accidents. Also, it encourages people to be more active. These benefits are particularly relevant in remote regions that are further away from the equator.
It is obvious that Americans are not in agreement with this idea. Many people believe incorrectly that farmers are in support of the movement.
